David Donato

David Donato is a Director of Design and Construction with Align’s Data Center Infrastructure Solutions team, where he leverages comprehensive experience in leading and managing the end-to-end lifecycle of mission-critical telecommunications and communication infrastructure projects. He primarily oversees project planning, budgeting, and scheduling to ensure high-quality project delivery that is on time and within budget.

Prior to his current role, David held positions of increasing responsibility, including Sr. Technical Solutions Manager, where he managed a significant Annual Recurring Revenue portfolio and directed data center fit-out projects from inception to commissioning. His earlier experience as Head of Operations for the DCA Region demonstrates his deep understanding of critical data center infrastructure management, operational performance optimization, and rapid response to critical incidents.

David holds numerous industry certifications, including Uptime Accredited Tier Specialist (ATS), Certified Data Center Specialist (CDCD), Certified Data Center Professional (CDCP), Data Center Certified Associate (DCCA), and various CompTIA and Microsoft certifications, underscoring his commitment to professional development and deep technical knowledge.

David serves as the Treasurer on the Board of Directors for AFCOM, the data center industry’s leading and longest-standing professional association in its Potomac Chapter. He is also a tee-ball coach for the Herndon Reston Youth Baseball League.
