Friday, April 7th, Apple released two Zero-Day vulnerability patches for iPhone and iPad users
What are the Vulnerabilities?
- IOSurfaceAccelerator
- An app may be able to execute arbitrary code with kernal privileges. Apple is aware of a report that this issue may have been actively exploited.
- WebKit
- Processing maliciously crafted web content may lead to arbitrary code execution. Apple is aware of a report that this issue may have been actively exploited.
Who is Affected?
- This affects owners of iPhone 8 and later, iPad Pro (all models), iPad Air 3rd generation and later, iPad 5th generation and later, and iPad mini 5th generation and later.
What Should You Do?
- Apple recommends installing the latest patch. You can find the latest Software Update under Settings> General> Software Update.
