Project Summary: Update legacy firewalls

To prevent being "locked in" to one security solution, Align Communications' Network Design team developed a design that allowed multiple firewalls to share the same Internet connection while being virtually transparent to each other. With this technology solution, the client can now migrate users to a different firewall technology with zero downtime and no interruption of service. This solution - that many technology experts deemed difficult, if not impossible - helped the client increase capacity, provided redundancy, and delivered more options in selecting future technologies.

Project Summary: Required periodic connectivity to its overseas affiliate

Align managed this client's redundancy requirements by implementing improved routing metrics, ISDN engineering and providing redundant dial-on-demand routing.

Project Summary: Network integration

As a testament to Align's multi-vendor expertise, a Layer-3 Xylan network was successfully integrated for this school in New York City. This project was completed with Cisco's proprietary routing protocols to provide load balancing, and redundancy to support Netware 5.0 across a wide area network.

Align's engineers solved another "unsolvable" problem- fostering a smooth migration path for the IT staff of the museum. During this project, Cisco switched Ethernet equipment was engineered into communicating with (and controlling) legacy 3COM Token Ring switches and hubs.
