A premier manufacturer and marketer of bed and bath home fashions leveraged Align’s technology experts and solutions to consolidate and connect to new global manufacturing locations and reduce costs.
Align began its relationship with the textile company in 2007 by performing a network redesign for the relocation to a new office in New York City. Engineers redesigned the entire network and IP telephony infrastructure. Following the satisfactory completion of this initial contract, Align has been consistently retained for the company’s network, security, relocation and IT management needs.
When the company’s business was expanded to Asia, Align created a complete security intrusion prevention firewall in Pakistan, China and Bahrain — which was extended to New York, Georgia, North Carolina, Illinois and California. This was the largest security project in Align’s history.
Align was also contracted to create everything from networks — including LAN/WAN infrastructure, wireless and security — to unified communications and IP telephony for remote employees. Align designed a DMVPN (dynamic multipoint virtual private network) to allow employees secure access to the company from any location. The network includes fully encrypted routers in each location, for more than 1500 users across 100 sites worldwide. Align also created a complete wireless network for facilities in New York and Clemson, SC.
Align’s association with this textile company has involved a full suite of project solutions:
- Network redesign
- WAN, LAN, wireless, security setup
- IP telephony
- Servers and distributed computing
- Technology relocation services
- IT management
Align continues to support this company’s technology infrastructure, with a significant number of projects planned for the future.
