Project Analyst
An Analyst in this cross-solution
position at Align Communications
is tasked with assisting in the
day-to-day operations of their particular
projects and clients, as well as
working internally to train up on
other aspects of the Technology
Relocation, Asset Point, Contact
Center and Network solutions. The
Analyst will interface with the
client, the Align project managers,
the project team, technical engineers,
developers, and management.

Responsibilities
• Participate in daily “follow-ups”
with technology vendors, carriers,
and the client’s staff to
ensure adherence to established
time frames
• Attend all project meetings
• Assist with system cutover
activities under the direction of
the project team
• Assist in the preparation
of documentation and training material
• Learn and begin to understand
the methodology for Align’s
Total Project Management program
• Participate in project overtime,
as needed
• Administrative duties may
include:
o Maintain attendance sheets
o Monitor team input of timesheets
and expenses
o Coordinate training activities
o Develop and distribute team correspondence
and team meeting minutes
o Discreet with confidential information
o Effective liaison with team members
o Assist with the assimilation of
new team members into the team.
• Focus on a single technology
discipline in a large relocation
project or in an Asset Point implementation
project, including process analysis,
inventory management, move planning,
MAC, or finance
• Participate in Move, Add,
Change (MAC) work at a client site
to include: site surveys, execution
of moves, preparing documents, deliverables,
etc.
• Participate in asset scanning/tagging
and audits on inventory projects
using Asset Point
• Gather client inventory
information and assist in planning
physical desktop equipment moves
and connectivity requirements
• Perform disconnect/reconnect
of PC’s and peripherals
• Assist with the administration
of technology relocation projects,
including acting as scribe and transcribing
meeting minutes, making updates
to budget and project plan, etc.
• Participate in existing
client base support and maintenance
of Asset Point and other technology
installations
• Participate in the day-to-day
activities for project team and
assist as required
• Participate in technology
meetings specific to discipline
with technology vendors and team
members
• Create visuals of data center
cabinet elevations, desk profiles,
elevations and floor plans using
graphics programs, including Aperture
and Visio. Work in conjunction with
project team to incorporate technology
into floor plans
• Assist with creating and
maintaining documentation for the
Project Book to be handed off to
a client at project completion.
• Perform desktop application
builds on PCs
• Perform imaging of operating
systems on PCs
• Troubleshoot operating systems
and network configurations on desktops
and servers
General
• Learn about technology as
it relates to Align’s solutions
• Become knowledgeable of
company standards and procedures
• Align professionals will
be expected to carry out such additional
or alternative duties for the company
which are reasonably consistent

may from time-to-time require.

Skills
College degree in Liberal Arts and/or
Computer Science
Microsoft office suite: Word, Excel,
Project, PowerPoint
Experience in any graphics based
CAD product (Visio, Aperture) a
plus.
Experience in some of the following
database products: MS Access, Sybase,
Oracle, Access and SQLAnywhere,
a plus.
Experience in asset management systems
a plus
Experience in Windows 2000, Windows
NT a plus
