Distressed Financial Corporation turns to Align for Complete Suite of Services


Driven by challenging economic events and a forced business divestiture, this financial services firm turned to Align to help them transition out of the larger parent corporation and onto their own IT infrastructure. Align helped its client establish a TSA – Transitional Services Agreement – to lease technology from the parent firm for a limited period of time. Align then went to work providing a full suite of solutions for this project:

      •    - Organization restructuring and governance;
      •    - Data center design/build, server moves and cabling infrastructure      and design;
      •    - Network infrastructure and design, unified communications & VoIP      and virtualization and optimization;
      •    - Help Desk support, application hosting, security monitoring and      tracking with Asset Point.

Our work included designing a new computing platform based on 50 virtualized and 50 regular servers in a hosted data center environment, establishing new connectivity, desktop builds as well as supporting infrastructure including phones, files, conference room setup and desktop controls.

Align used a series of user acceptance tests to migrate users to and from the financial company’s network, and esure that all aspects of the network remained 100% throughout the entire migration period. At the end of the aggressive three month migration period, we were able to support 750 users in the US, 100 in London and 50 in Asia spread throughout Tokyo, Bangkok, Hong Kong, Singapore, Seoul and the Philippines.
