Popular Shoe Design Company Enlists Align for New Network Infrastructure

A leading shoe design company needed to implement a new financial system in a short timeframe. The system consisted of over 30 servers running Windows (both 2003 and 2008), an SQL Active/Active cluster in both corporate and the disaster recovery site and a SAN for both sites.

Align became responsible for the hardware/infrastructure implementation. Align implemented a Dell blade solution with Dell EqualLogic SANs. Microsoft DPM was used for the backup solution. 30 New AMP circuits were also installed in the corporate data center to support the new Dell blade enclosures. Cisco load balancers were used to route web traffic.

Align implemented the first ever Windows Server 2008 at the company as well as the Active/Active SQL Server 2005 cluster. Align also implemented the first iSCSI SANs and improved backup over current standard by using Microsoft DPM. The company added more SANs to increase their capacity. Align also installed a Dell tape library in the DR site to replace the single drive currently there to allow for tape rotation.

Align maintains ongoing site support, providing network, systems and end user support. Align continues to support the company’s Windows and Cisco environment from top to bottom.
